Kena tabe dúre tháko
Kena more eman kare
Áṋkhiniire phele rákho

Tomár sauṋge mor paricay
Du-cár juger kathá to nay
Chilo áge anuráge
Se anurág bhulo náko

Dine ráte sandhyá sakál
Ácho tumi anantakál
Kśańek bhule sab kálákál
Ámár páne ceye dekho

শুনি তুমি ভালবাসো
কেন তবে দূরে থাকো
কেন মোরে এমন করে'
আঁখিনীরে ফেলে' রাখো

তোমার সঙ্গে মোর পরিচয়
দু'চার যুগের কথা তো নয়
ছিলো আগে অনুরাগে
সে অনুরাগ ভুলো নাকো

দিনে রাতে সন্ধ্যা-সকাল
আছো তুমি অনন্তকাল
ক্ষণেক ভুলে' সব কালাকাল
আমার পানে চেয়ে দেখো

I hear that You dote;
Why then do You stay remote?
And why, if that be so, myself
In tears, You keep disowned?

With You my acquaintance,
It's not a fact of just a few ages.
It had been before my attachment;
But spurn that attachment, please don't.

Day and night, evening and morn,
Time everlasting You are.
For an instant, all good or bad times ignored,
A brief look at me please throw.
