Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Sparshamańi tumi priya
Ámár ávilatá sariye diye
Maner matan more kare nio

Pathe calite dhúlo láge gáye
Kardame kata pichane phele dey
Tumi káche ese ekt́u bhálobese
Tiirthodake snán kariye dio

Tumi ná thákile mor kichu nái
Tumi thákilei sab kichu pái
Mor calár sheśe ámáre nihsheśe
Tomár rúpe rase ráge ráuṋio

Philosopher's Stone are You, oh Darling;
Ridding my defilement,
Make me as You like, and please receive.

To move on the way, upon body dust gets coated;
Flung so far backward by filthy sin it does let.
Yourself having come near and loved a little,
Kindly bathe me in Your waters holy.

Had You not remained, I'd have naught;
Only by Your remaining, I obtain all.
At end of my journey, myself exhausted,
Brighten with Your form and flavor, and melody.[nb 2]

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ Literally, the word rága means color; and in this philosophical context that would be a normal translation. However, in the context of Prabhat Samgiita, a musical significance is equally and possibly even more likely.
