Tandrávijaŕita moha samávrta Áṋkhipáte mor ke go ásile tumi Priitir kájal eṋke mamatámádhurii mekhe Hatásh hrdaye mor ásile námi Je kamal mana májhe kakhano phut́ita ná Gandha ráge kabhu káreo tuśita ná Táháre phot́áye dile madhute bhariyá dile Ná d́ákite ese gele alakha svámii Áshá bhará je ráginii kakhano dhvanita ná Surasaptake jáhá spandita haita ná Táháre viińár táre sumadhura jhauṋkáre Hrdákáshe dile bhare trut́ire kśamii	তন্দ্রাবিজড়িত মোহ-সমাবৃত আঁখিপাতে মোর কে গো আসিলে তুমি গীতির কাজল এঁকে মমতামাধুরী মেখে হতাশ হৃদয়ে মোর আসিলে নামি যে কমল মন মাঝে কখনো ফুটিত না গন্ধ-রাগে কভু কারেও তুষিত না তাহারে ফোটায়ে দিলে মধুতে ভরিয়া দিলে না ডাকিতে এসে গেলে অলখ স্বামী আশা-ভরা যে রাগিণী কখনও ধ্বনিত না সুরসপ্তকে যাহা স্পন্দিত হইত না তাহারে বীণার তারে সুমধুর ঝঙ্কারে হৃদাকাশে দিলে ভরে ত্রুটিরে ক্ষমী	Sleep-besieged and blind-attachment-ringed, Who are You that on these eyelids mine appeared? Painting love's kohl and coating affection's honey, You touched down on my heart, so melancholy. The lotus which was not full-blown in my mind, Which gave not a scent or hue that satisfied, You made it blossom and filled it with honey; You came and went unbidden, my Master Unseen. The hopeful tune which never did resonate, Which did not reverberate in the musical scale, Sweetly strumming that on the strings of Your lyre, Forgiving shortcomings, You suffused my psychic sky.
