Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomár kathá bheve bheve
Divánishi ashru jhare
Tumi dúre raile priya
Ámár e ghar áṋdhár kare

Bádal ráter kájal máyáy
Man tomáke káche pete cáy
Ketakii keshar sama háy
Áshá bhese jáy andhakáre

Sharat shepháliir suváse
Sádá megher bhelá bháse
Tumi náhi ele sakáshe
Vrthái sáji phule bhare

Vasanteri snigdha úśáy
Kishalaye raiṋjitaváy
Khuṋje mari tumi kotháy
Ákásh pátál ghure ghure

O Lord, thinking about You,
day and night the tears drop.
O my Dear, You remained away,
leaving my home dark.
During dark charm of the clouded night,
the mind wants to get You closer.
Like the pollen of ketakii, alas,
the hope goes on floating
in the darkness.
During the fragrance of winter shefa’lii
the boat of white cloud floats.
You did not come near,
my decoration full of flowers is useless.
During the soft dawn of the spring,
breeze colored with tender leave color,
I go on searching You,
wandering through the heaven and hell.
