Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomáre ceyechi náme rúpe rase
Manane gahane niráláy
Bhávera bhávanáy arúpa dyotanáy
Srśt́i sthiti laye ájánáy

Ogo karuńámay e kii liilá tava
Kśaneke kata bháuṋgo kata gaŕo nava
Kata kii je áse kata kii je jáy
Tomár carań pránter dhúláy

Alakhaniraiṋjan tomár nám
Aváuṋmanogocar tomáre prańám
Tumi ádi sthiti tumii parińám
Tumi háso maner mańidoláy

I have wanted You in name, shape, and flavor,
In hard-to-reach thinking, in lonesome retreat...
In existential thought, in meaning form-free,
In generation-operation-destruction, in mystery.

What is this Your divine play, oh Mercy's Embodiment?
In an instant much You break, and much You make afresh
How many are the things that arrive, so many that leave,
In the dust at the outskirts of Your feet.

Unseen-Unblemished is Your name;
Obeisance to You is beyond the mind-sense-speech range.
You are source, position, and final state;
You smile on psyche's jeweled swing.
