Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomári madhura hási
Dey je bhuliye
Ámára jata duhkha kaśt́a klesh hatamán nimeśe
Tomári mohana báṋshii
Dey je jágiye
Ghumiye paŕá madhu bhará áveshe

Sukher smrti dukher giiti
Rekhechilum pápŕite tule
Jái niko bhule
Smrtiguli jemani hok
Rauṋe ráuṋá mátáy parashe

Ogo ámár priyatama
Káche eso áro mama
(Dáo) Práń bhariye sur jhariye
Páoyári áshe

Only Your honeyed smile,
It drives out of mind
All my grief and need, pain and shame, in a trice.
That magic flute of Yours
It surely does bestir
Those lulled to sleep with its fully sweet rapture.

Memories of joy and songs of pain,
I had saved with their petals upraised...
I never let them get erased.
Whatever type may be the memory,
On its crimson contact it excites greatly.

Oh my dearest Darling,
Please do appear closer to me...
Kindly exude a heart-filling melody,
With its hope of Your attainment only.
