Ná jániyei shárada sáṋjhe
Ele nijei maner májhe
Acin naviin mohana sáje
Tabu cinechi

তোমায় পাবার আশা নিয়ে
জেগে' রয়েছি
সাগরেরই মণি তোমার তরে আমি
পল যে গুনেছি

কত নিশা ভোর হয়েছে
কত তারা খসে' গেছে
কত কৌমুদী হারিয়েছে
হিসাব ভুলেছি

না জানিয়ে শারদ সাঁঝে
এলে নিজেই মনের মাঝে
অচিন নবীন মোহন সাজে
তবু চিনেছি

Taking hope of getting Thee,
I have stayed attentive.
Yes I, for Your sake, Gemstone of the Ocean,
I have counted the moments.

Many nights have become morning,
Many fallen stars have disappeared,
So much moonlight has gone missing;
