Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi esechile
Shepháliir snigdha suváse
Rekhe gele mane madhur rańane
Já balechile bhálabese

He ámár priya sáthe rekhe dio
Ámár ná-balá abhiláśe
Juge jugántare kále kálántare
Theko tumi ámári páshe

Ná jái vipathe kabhu path dekháio prabhu
Priitiri mohana prakáshe
Ei anurodh ámár kichui cáhi ná ár
Theko sáthe kleshe haraśe

You had come
Like a night jasmine's gently fine aroma.
You went, leaving in mind a honeyed intonation,
What You'd told on having loved.

Hey my Beloved, please permit the staying with;
Unspoken is it in my disposition.
Age after age, in course of time, on other occasion,
You please remain, my flank along.

Lord, show me the path, and never may I stray from it,
From the love's bewitching exhibition.
This alone is my prayer, nothing more do I crave;
Stay with me in sorrow and jubilation.
