Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi esecho man niyecho
Man kena dile ná more
Bhálo besecho kathá kayecho
Ráuṋá t́hoṋt́e mamatá bhare

Triloker mádhurii tomáte bandhu
Karuńákarań tumi sudhásindhu
Kleshośńa dáhe candanavindu
Báṋdhite párini tomáre

Úśár aruń ráge saḿklrpta
Priitir mainjuśáy madhusikta
Tumi púrńa ár ámi rikta
Tabu rekhecho carańa 'pare

O Lord, You came, took my mind,
but why did not You give me Your mind.
You have loved, spoke the things,
with colored lips full of affection.
The sweetness of all the three worlds
is within You, O Friend.
O merciful, You are ocean of nectar.
You are the drop of soothing sandal paste,
at the hot burn of agonies.
I am unable to bind You.
Saturated with the crimson color of the dawn,
absorbed with sweetness of casket of love,
You are full and I am empty,
still You have kept me at Your feet.
