Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ceyechilum tomáy ámi
Rúp-shiikarer shiharane
Ele mohan phulasáje
Jakhan ceyechi tomáke
Siivantiir ákarśańe
Esecho rajat niiraje

Já kichu cái tái tumi dáo
Tomár rauṋ ki táte mesháo
Ceye' madhumáser ráge
Pelum abja saroje

Cáoyár daenya bujhiye dile
Bhávanár trut́i shodhrále
Ceyechilum ahamikáy
Nile carań-rajah májhe

Cáoyá páoyá ámár káche
Tomár sabi sadái ráje
Já chilo ná jáhá chilo
Já kichu nái jáhá áche

I had wanted and witnessed You.
In thrill of form's spray beauteous.
You came in fascinating floral garb,
When Yourself I have wished for.
With attraction of chrysanthemum,
Like a silver lotus You have come.

Whatever I want, only that You give;
In that do Your hues mix?
Having wanted in spring colors
I got lotus within lotus.

Wanting's indigence You let be fathomed:
Rectified the insufficiency of thought.
I had desired with conceit;
You took amid foot dust.

Wishing and getting, to me they belong;
All is already Yours, it dwells in perpetuum:
What was not and what did exist;
Everything there isn't and what there is.
