Jiiyankát́hi marańkát́hi
Máthár káche rákhá chilo
Jiiyankát́hi tule nile
Marańkát́hi háriye gelo
Ananta ámi-r májhe mor
Ámi abhiśikta halo
Tomár haye jaoyá se ámi
He priya pelo tomáre

Cidákáshe jyotsná ese'
Pratham ámár man bhulálo

তুমি যখন এসেছিলে
আমি ছিলুম ঘুমঘোরে
অহং-ঘেরা বদ্ধ ঘরে
কী ভাবে অর্গল খুলিলে
ভিতরে এলে কী করে'

জীয়নকাঠি মরণকাঠি
মাথার কাছে রাখা ছিল
জীয়নকাঠি তুলে নিলে
মরণকাঠি হারিয়ে গেল
অনন্ত আমি-র মাঝে মোর
আমি অভিষিক্ত হল
তোমার হয়ে যাওয়া সে আমি
হে প্রিয় পেল তোমারে

চিদাকাশে জ্যোৎস্না এসে'
প্রথম আমার মন ভুলাল
চাওয়া-পাওয়ার ভিড়ের শেষে
একের ভাবেই ভরে' দিল
সে প্রথম সে শেষে মিশে'
দিগ্বলয়ে ছড়িয়ে গেল
নিত্যকালের আমি-র তখন
ঘুম ভাঙিল চিরতরে

O Lord, when You had come,
I was in deep slumber,
surrounded by ego,
in closed house.
With what intentions,
You opened the door-bolts,
and why did You enter inside?
Both, burning wood for pyre
and wood for life
was kept close to my head.
You lifted up the wood of life
and pyre-wood was lost.
Within the Infinite “I”,
my small “I” was bathed.
That small “I”,
after becoming Yours,
attained You, O Dear.
In the mental sky,
moonlight coming initially
distracted my mind.
At the finish of the crowd
of desires and achievements,
only one ideation
You filled in.
He was the first
who merged in the end,
leaving the horizon.
Then the Eternal “I”,
broke the slumber forever.
