Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi priya mor ámi tomár
Mor nái kona guń áche shudhu durguń
Tumi sakal guńeri samáhár

Prabháter bháti tumi sandhyá raktarág
Kusumástiirńa vane madhu anurág
Varaśá nishiithe ketakii puśpaparág
Bhese calo adam apár

Mor áche kálákál chanda tál betál
Jatibandhan-mukta tumi mahákál
Vaho sveccháy prapaiṋceri bhár

You are my Darling, I belong to Thee.
I have no merit, only faults exist;
You're the aggregate of all good qualities.

You are the morning sheen and crimson glow of evening;
In a forest strewn with flowers, affection sweet.
The screwpine's floral pollen on a midnight stormy,
You go on floating, unyielding, unceasing.

Mine is time right or wrong, metric cadence or beat-breach;
Free from pause or tethering, You are Eternity.
Readily, You bear the weight of my life worldly.
