On Sarkarverse, each song of Prabhat Samgiita is treated to a separate article. The lyrics are presented in both Roman script and Bengali script (Bangla). And each song is retranslated on a line by line basis. However, that project may take quite a while to complete. On Prabhatasamgiita.net, the lyrics (Roman script only) and the original translations (perhaps by Acarya Vijayananada Avadhuta or Acarya Priyashivananda Avadhuta) are all given on a single HTML page. Here on Sarkarverse, that same page (as of 2016 September 25) has been converted into five Wiki articles (see Songs 1-5018). Except for some very limited formatting and the inclusion of links to the audio file lists, nothing has been changed in respect to the Prabhatasamgiita.net HTML page.[1]

Audio

For the audio to the following songs, go to Songs 1-999.

Dates and abbreviations

In this document, the date when the song was given appears in parentheses after the song number. That date may vary with other, possibly more reliable sources (for example, the books by Acarya Abhidevananda Avadhuta[2][3][4][5][6][7] or Acarya Vijayananda Avadhuta[8][9]).

After the date, there may be one or more abbreviations. These abbreviations typically refer to the style of melody or rhythm. For example, D stands for Dadra, and K stands for Kaharva. Once again, this information may vary with other, possibly more reliable sources (for example, the notes of P. D. Narayan[10].

O dearest Friend,
lead me on.
Lead me unto the fountain of effulgence.

O dearest Friend,
lead me on.
I can no longer bear the pain of darkness in my heart.

O dearest Friend,
lead me on.
With Your songs, break my deep slumber.

O dearest Friend,
lead me on.

Purport:
Paramapurus'a (the Supreme Consciousness) is the real friend. O Paramapurus'a,
direct me unto the fountain of divine effulgence. I was slumbering in cimmerian darkness.
I was an ordinary atom. But now I can no longer tolerate the staticity of darkness.
O Paramapurus'a, sing before me the song which will arouse me from my deep slumber.
Sing before me that song which will show me what is what and which is which.

SONG OF LIBERATION

This song of mine is a fountain of effulgence.

On this rocky path, day and night I keep on flowing,
heedless of all obstacles.

This song of mine is a fountain of effulgence.

This path of mine is rugged and full of thorns.
The flowing stream emanating from the source of life
will shatter the granite prison walls.

This song of mine is a fountain of effulgence.

.................................................

This song of mine
is like a flow of light.

In the rugged rocky terrain,
day and night, I flow along,
I flow along unhindered.

This path of mine is uneven,
full of thorns.

With a forceful flow of life,
I flow along, breaking asunder,
I move along breaking the prison walls.

Purport:
For those who move along the path of greatness and magnanimity, so much meanness and
littleness stands as insurmountable obstacles. They know this and their song is like a
fountain of divine effulgence it is not a materialistic song. Their song does not move
along a smooth road. In their path there are so many thorns, so many ups and downs just
like a fountain which flows along various rapids and finally merges into the sea. They
recognize no barrier, saying "We move on and on, with all our innate vitality, ever
breaking all the iron prison walls around us."

SONG OF NEOHUMANISM

Calling all, I will sing the glories of this crimson dawn
in the kingdom of divine light,

beyond the threshold of darkness.

The sky above is studded with stars,
The air is intoxicated with fragrance.
With all entities I exist,
anointing my mind with the pollen of flowers.

Calling all, I will sing the glories of this crimson dawn
in the kingdom of divine light,

beyond the threshold of darkness.

This earth on which I walk
is purer than the purest gold.
In its green shade,
all creatures are cherished.
It dances, blessed with new life.

Calling all, I will sing the glories of this crimson dawn
in the kingdom of divine light,

beyond the threshold of darkness.

..........................................................

Calling all, I will sing the glories of the crimson dawn
in the kingdom of divine light,

beyond the threshold of darkness.

The sky is studded with stars.
The air is sweetly scented.
In all entities I exist,
anointing my mind with the pollen of flowers.

This earth on which I walk
is purer than the purest gold,
in its green shade,
all creatures are cherished.
It dances, blessed with new life.

Purport:
Darkness has come to an end, crossing the threshold at the edge of light. Now is the
proper time to call all and announce that the crimson dawn has come. The beautiful sky is
studded with so many stars, the air is sweetlyscented. The atmosphere, lithosphere,
hydrosphere everything is closely related to me. All the flora and fauna I must preserve;
I must save them from premature extinction because I love everything of this earth. I am a
NeoHumanist. I call one and all to come and create a new rhythm.

SONG OF SWEETNESS

The lyres of all minds play
to the same tune today.
There is fragrance in all hearts.

You came onto this earth
with Your exquisite appearance
and gave the same feeling to all.

Do not tear my garland of flowers,
my entire wealth of compassion.

Come close to me,
come closer, still closer,
take all that I have.

SONG OF FULFILLMENT

The ancient unknown traveler has come.

With the blissful resonance of consciousness,

my life overflows with song.

In the sweet form of the loss of all,

in the destitution of oblivion,

with the rhythm and song of attainment,

with the invocation of the ever beautiful one,

my life overflows with song.

............................................................

The unknown traveler has come,

after so many ages,

with the sweet call of consciousness.

My life is filled with songs.

In the pangs of losing everything,

in the the emptiness of complete oblivion,

in in the rhythm and song of supreme fulfilment,

in the invocation of the eternally beautiful,

my life became filled with songs.

SONG OF AWAKENING

My Lord is covered in golden light.

The bird of dawn begins to sing,

vibrant with new life.

Why all this?

In answer to whose call?

Day and night I seek Him.

The new light sends forth a blaze of effulgence

and beats its new wings of joy.

My Lord is covered with golden light.
