Nontá háte jabe chuṋyechi

Rátri áse dino áse
Teman hási náhi háse
Jeman tárá hásta áge
Práń diye jabe bhálabesechi

Vasanta rág ájo shuńi
Hiyár ucchalatáo máni
Shukno pátár marmarete
Kishalayer dhvani shuńechi

আমার সেদিন হারিয়ে গেছে
যবে নিজেকে হারিয়েছি
ফুলের কলি ঝরে’ গেছে
নোনতা হাতে যবে ছুঁয়েছি

রাত্রি আসে দিনও আসে
তেমন হাসি নাহি হাসে
যেমন তারা হাসত আগে
প্রাণ দিয়ে যবে ভালবেসেছি

বসন্ত রাগ আজও শুণি
হিয়ার উচ্ছলতাও মানি
শুকনো পাতার মর্মরেতে
কিশলয়ের ধ্বনি শুণেছি

O lord,
those days of mine,
when i lost myself,
are over.

The buds of flowers dropped down
when i touched them with my bare hands.

Nights come,
days also come.
Yet, their smiles do not come,
the way they came earlier.

Today, i listen to the tune of spring
and take it to be the outburst of my heart.

In the murmur sound of dry leaves,
I hear the sound of tender leaves.
