Jiivanke mán dii ni

আমি পথের হদিশ পাই নি
তাই তোমার পানে চলি নি

ছিল অজানা আঁধারে ঢাকা
তাই পরিচয় খুঁজি নি

ভাবিতাম মোর বুঝি কেহ নাই
ভাগ্যে ভালবাসা স্নেহ নাই
উপেক্ষা আর অবহেলা ভরা
জীবনকে মান দিই নি

কত বসন্ত জীবনে এসেছে
শরৎ সন্ধ্যা রঙ ঢালিয়াছে

O lord,
I could not find the destination of your path,
and hence, i could not move unto you.

The introduction between you and me
was left covered in darkness,
and hence, i could not locate my ultimate aim.

I thought about why i could not understand,
that perhaps i did not have love nor affection in my fate.
Full of neglect and overlook,
I did not give due value to life.

Many a spring came into life.
Many a winter evening poured its colour on me,
yet, i kept myself aloof
and could not drench myself in colour.
