Where the sea of songs
Where the sea of song meets
merges into the ocean of melodies,
With the ocean of melody,
if in that tingling,
Lord, I'll find Thee,
O lord,
Forever in that clatter.
I would forever attain you!

I survive
With rhythm and dance sustained is
by dancing to the rhythmic flow
The stream of life in the universe.
of life's currents.
Should that stream ever evaporate,
Who would be seen upon this earth?

If it dried up,
With love of beauty there awake
who would want to stay on this earth?
The musical modes of mental state.

Should those modes ever diminish,
With love and beauty,
Only the deaf-and-dumb would remain.
in tunes and melodies
You appear within feelings.

If this stopped,
only the deaf and dumb would be left.

Ganer sagar jethay meshe is the 716th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Gáner ságar jetháy meshe
Surer páráváre
Prabhu tomáy pábo ámi
Nitya se jhauṋkáre

Chande náce beṋce áche
Jiivan dhárá dharár májhe
Tá jadi shukáye jáy
Ke cáhibe e dharáre

Anuráger rúpe jáge
Rág ráginii bháver ráge
Tá jadi thámiyá jáy
Thákbe shudhu múk badhire

Where the sea of song meets
With the ocean of melody,
Lord, I'll find Thee,
Forever in that clatter.

With rhythm and dance sustained is
The stream of life in the universe.
Should that stream ever evaporate,
Who would be seen upon this earth?

With love of beauty there awake
The musical modes of mental state.
Should those modes ever diminish,
Only the deaf-and-dumb would remain.
