Jhat́ikár ráte tumi esechile Atandra mama áṋkhipáte Bhiitir bhávaná dúr kare dile Balile bhevo ná ámi sáthe Ámi je rayechi tava sáthe Banda duyár ápani khulile Argal nija háte saráile Ásana pátiyá ápani basile Duranta sei kál ráte Hiyá keṋpechilo kare tharathara Anubhúti chilo ati manohara Mane hayechilo ei je prahara E thákiyá ják kálátiite E jena ná jáy kona mate	ঝটিকার রাতে তুমি এসেছিলে অতন্দ্র মম আঁখিপাতে ভীতির ভাবনা দূর করে দিলে বলিলে “ভেবো না আমি সাথে আমি যে রয়েছি তব সাথে” বন্ধ দুয়ার আপনি খুলিলে অর্গল নিজ হাতে সরাইলে আসন পাতিয়া আপনি বসিলে দুরন্ত সেই কাল-রাতে হিয়া কেঁপেছিলো করে থরথর অনুভূতি ছিলো অতি মনোহর মনে হয়েছিলো এই যে প্রহর এ থাকিয়া যাক কালাতীতে এ যেন না যায় কোন মতে	O Lord, on a stormy night you entered my alert eyes. You removed my fear and told me: "do not worry, I am with you, I stay with you." You opened the door that was closed, and removed its bolt with your own hands. You prepared your own seat, and sat down in that awful and dark night. My heart shivered by the charm of this experience. In my mind it occurred that this period, should linger on beyond the limitation of time and not pass away under any cicumstance.
