Work on the film began in late 2014, with all of the funding coming from [[AmRevolution, Inc.]]. After the first expedition to India with a film team from India, a trailer was made and some additional funding was sought through [[:wikipedia:Crowdfunding|crowdfunding]]. When much less than the targeted amount was raised, the pace of production slowed. Nevertheless an additional two trips were made to India for additional interviews and other film footage. In addition, other interviews were conducted in different parts of the world. In early 2017, much-needed additional funding has been pledged. The current target date of completion is mid-2017.
