O lord!
Remembering You and for You only,
In your memory and thought
Without pause, on Your path I've journeyed.
I pauselessly move
Come into my heart with affection sweet;
along a path of your choice.
See the many thorns I've crushed beneath my feet.

With sweet love,
So many storms upon my head I've suffered;
come into my heart!
So many comet flames I have endured.
Look just how many thorns
In great despair, great agony,
I have stamped upon!
Painfully, I've bent my knee.

So many storms
Seasons pass me by, the sun sinks in the sky;
did i bear on my head!
Twilight's dark shadows, they draw nigh.
So much meteorite heat
A golden dream fades into nothing;
did i have to tolerate!
With fallen flowers I've strung my wreath.
So many disappointments!
So much pain!

By the load of agonies
I became bent.

Time flows away,
the sun continues its setting,
the dark shade of the evening intensifies.

When golden dreams
dissolved into vacuity,
I threaded a garland
with fallen flowers.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomári lágiyá tomáre smariyá
Ná thámiyá patha calechi
Eso go hrdaye madhura prańaye
Kata káṋt́á dekho dalechi

Kata je jhaiṋjhá mátháy vahechi
Kata ulkár jválá je sayechi
Kata hatásháy kata vedanáy
Vyathábháre nata hayechi

Belá bahe jáy ravi d́ube jáy
Sandhyár kálo cháyá je ghanáy
Sońálii svapan shúnye miláy
Jhará phule málá geṋthechi

Remembering You and for You only,
Without pause, on Your path I've journeyed.
Come into my heart with affection sweet;
See the many thorns I've crushed beneath my feet.

So many storms upon my head I've suffered;
So many comet flames I have endured.
In great despair, great agony,
Painfully, I've bent my knee.

Seasons pass me by, the sun sinks in the sky;
Twilight's dark shadows, they draw nigh.
A golden dream fades into nothing;
With fallen flowers I've strung my wreath.
