Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áj paŕe mane godhúli lagane
(Tumi) Esechile mor ghare
Shádá megher bhelá balákári melá
Bhese' calechilo ambare

Bholá kabhu ki jáy se malaya váy
Je ese' chuṋyechilo sońálii hiyáy
Tári bhávanáy smita dyotanáy
Máyákánane chilum bhávaghore

Shephálii phut́echilo jharivári tare
Ráter sheś jáme bhulite jáminiire
Jábe jabe jhare' tákábe ná phire'
Ke káṋde tár tare agocare

O Lord, today on this evening twilight time,
I remembered that You had come to my home.
In the sky, sails of white clouds
and festive groups of swans were floating, gliding.
Can it be forgotten anytime,
that sandal breeze that having come,
touched the golden heart.
In Your ideation, and smiling gesture,
I was intensely engrossed in the deep thought.
Shephalii flower bloomed to drop later,
towards the end of the night, forgetting the night.
Whenever they drop, they never look back again,
who cries for them unseen.
