Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áloke áṋdháre eki liilá
Raciyá calecho he dayámay
Kakhano káṋdáo kakhano hásáo
Kakhano jánáo tumi sarvamay

Kakhano merute dyuti ánáo
Kakhano marute puśpa phot́áo
Kakhano iishán końe megher ghat́á ene
Kál-boshekhiite hao jhaiṋjhámay

Shatarúpe tomáre besechi bhálo
Juge juge tumi mor áshár álo
Káche vá dúre tháko áŕále jeo náko
Maner vitáne tumi giitimay

With light and darkness such divine play
You have gone on making, hey Lord full of mercy.
Sometimes You make cry, sometimes You make smile;
Sometimes You make known that You are the Almighty.

Sometimes to Earth's poles You make brought a shine,
And sometimes a flower You make bloom in the wilds.
Sometimes a bunch of clouds having fetched at northeast edge,
Like a nor'wester You become stormy.

In a hundred forms Yourself I have prized;
Age after age You are my hope's light.
Stay either near or far, but please don't hide;
You are the Avatar of Song below mental canopy.
