Tumi ásile ná ár ghare ámár

Sabár práńer práń he priya ámár
Trilok udbhásita dyutite tomár
Asti bháti ánanda apár
Tomátei vidhrta cetaná sabákár

Maner madhu mor tomár tare
Jatane rekhechi dhare' koraka 'pare
Tumi ele d́hele' dobo ujáŕ kare'
Karuńá kat́ákśe tákáo ekt́ibár

চাঁদ হারিয়ে গেল আঁধার নেবে' এল
তুমি বলে' গিয়েছিলে আসিবে আবার
চাঁদ পুনঃ হিরে' এলো আলো ঝলকালো
তুমি আসিলে না আর ঘরে আমার

সবার প্রাণের প্রাণ হে প্রিয় আমার
ত্রিলোক উদ্ভাসিত দ্যুতিতে তোমার
অস্তি-ভাতি আনন্দ অপার
তোমাতেই বিধৃত চেতনা সবাকার

মনের মধু মোর তোমার তরে
যতনে রেখেছি ধরে' কোরক 'পরে
তুমি এলে ঢেলে' দোব উজাড় করে'
করুণা কটাক্ষে তাকাও একটিবার

The moon got lost, darkness descended;
You had gone on saying: again You'll come.
Moon came back afresh, and light glittered;
You did not return to my habitation.

The life of everybody's life, hey my Love,
The three worlds[nb 2] are brightened by Your splendor.
Unlimited subsistence, development, and elation[nb 3],
In You only firmly established is the consciousness of everyone.

For Your sake is the honey of my psyche;
Bud having held aloft, I've preserved carefully.
When You're come, I will lavish, emptying;
A sidelong look of mercy, glance just once.

  3. ^ According to Sarkar, both individuals and society are dependent on these three factors for their existence. Asti comprises the physical and psycho-physical requirements of life (food, clothing, housing, medical care, and education). Bháti comprises the six elements required for the psychic and psycho-spiritual development of both the individual and society. Ánanda is bliss, the goal of life.[3]
