Atiiter gláni ár náhi máni
Nútan kirańe mániyá náo

Jiirńakanthá bhávjaŕatáke
Jheŕe phele dáo manolok hate
Nútaner dhvani rúpe ráuṋá váńii
Manane ráuṋiye dhará ráuṋáo

Háráno dinere phiráte jeoná
Puráno ásave mátite ceyo ná
Saorakarojjval ucchal
Nava ariśt́e sabe jágáo

Atiite jáhár hayeche súcaná
Sei áge calá kabhu thámibe ná
Nava kallole tále hillole
Nútaner sure hiyá bharáo

চির নূতনে যতনে মানসরতনে
পরাণ ভরিয়া সাজায়ে দাও
অতীতের গ্লানি আর নাহি মানি
নূতন কিরণে মানিয়া নাও

জীর্ণকন্থা ভাবজড়তাকে
ঝেড়ে ফেলে দাও মনোলোক হতে
নূতনের ধ্বনি রূপে রাঙা বাণী
মননে রাঙিয়ে ধরা রাঙাও

হারানো দিনেরে ফিরাতে যেওনা
পুরানো আসবে মাতিতে চেয়ো না
সৌরকরোজ্বল উচ্ছল
নব অরিষ্টে সবে জাগাও

অতীতে যাহার হয়েছে সূচনা
সেই আগে চলা কভু থামিবে না
নব কল্লোলে তালে হিল্লোলে
নূতনের সুরে হিয়া ভরাও

Always modern, always zealous, with sterling mind,
Ever embellish, thereby fulfilling your life.
No longer mindful of past mistakes,
Convey awareness of new light rays.

The crumbling rags of dogmatism,
Banish them from your mental kingdom.
Reporting the new in glowing words,
With bright thoughts, brighten the world.

Don't try to restore the days of yore;
Don't seek to run wild with old alcohol.
Brilliant sunrays are abounding;
With new wine, arouse everybody.

Those who came long ago into existence,
Their forward movement will never finish.
In the new billow, tempo, and swing,[nb 2]
Fill their hearts with tunes of novelty.
