Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ei pradośe jaladákáshe
Gán geye geye ke se bhese' jáy
Amita nilaye digvalaye
Snigdha parashe malaya váy

Ketakii keshare ke se krtakabarii
Haye bhávi jege' sárá vibhávarii
Shrutipathe d́hele' diye smita surabhi

At this evening, with cloudy sky,
constantly singing the song,
who goes on gliding though the
unlimited home of the horizon
with soft touch of the sandal breeze?
With ketakii fragrance applied on the chignon,
whole night I have been wondering Who was that,
Who through the ears, had poured
smiling fragrance by unknown message
during this rain.
Day, date and time period,
That unknown traveler makes me forget,
with sweet charm.
With charming smile His glow is seen.
Constantly His memory
makes me frenzied with upsurge.
