Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Gáner e málákháni
Tomár tarei geṋthe' rekhechi
Tumi ese' parbe bale
Pathapáne ceye' rayechi

Tumi ámár sakal áshá
Tomáte mor múrta bháśá
Tomár rúpe tomár ráge
Nayane aiṋjan eṋkechi

Dhruvatárá tumii ámár
Sakal cáoyár ek samáhár
Tomár priitir svarńabeláy
Bhágya ámár saṋpe' diyechi

Áṋkhi mele' ceyo priya
Vimukh virúp kabhu ná hayo
Tava adharer hásir rekháy
Nijeke dhanya menechi

O Lord, these garlands of songs,
I have kept threaded for You only,
so that You come and wear them,
thus I am waiting at Your path.
You are my total hope.
My language gets embodiment within You.
With Your beauty and color,
I mark decoration in the eyes.
You are my polestar,
only one totality of all desires.
At the golden bank of Your love,
I am offering my destiny.
O Dear, look with open eyes
and never get cross or displeased with me.
With the mark of smile at Your lips,
I consider myself fortunate.
