Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Gáneri deshe ele avasheśe
Tomár nái tulaná
Darshan o shástre tomáre báṋdhite
Keu páreni keu páre ná

Tabuo mánav mánasátiite
Vidhiniśedhe cáy dharite
Maneri bádhá maneri sádhá
Maner prabhuke báṋdhá jábe ná

Sabete ácho sabára prabhu
Dhará choṋyáy áso ná kabhu
Tomáre dharite cái je tabu
Kena morá keu jáni ná

O Lord, at the end, You came
from the arena of songs,
there is no comparison of Yours.
With philosophy and scriptures,
no one could bind You, or would do so.
Still the human beings want to hold You,
beyond mind, with the discipline of dos and don'ts.
The mental lord cannot be bound by
mental restrictions, psychic bonds,
and mental endeavor.
O the Lord of all, You are within all,
and never come touching the earth.
Still people want to hold You,
why, I do not know.
