Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Jhalamala álote dhará tumi dáoni
Duhkher ashruniire esechile sakhá
Sájáno vediir páne bhuleo tákáoni
Vyathár ártanáde diyechile dekhá

Shrávańer meghabhár esechilo jiivane
Uttál úrmi bheuṋgechilo svapane
Keu chilonáko káche sabe bhaye dúre geche
Tumi eká ese' balechile nai eká

Vahnir dahane varuńer tánd́ave
Pratiksańe sáthe chile sab bháve abháve
Saroni dúre kabhu sharańe rekhecho prabhu
Eṋkecho dagdhabhále durjaya t́iká

O Companion, within the brilliance of light,
You do not come into the folds,
and came with the tears of sorrows.
You did not see towards the decorated altar
even by mistake, but were seen
at the lamentation of pain.
In life, loads of clouds appeared,
the high waves broke the dreams.
There was nobody close to me,
all went away with fears,
but You coming alone told me
that I was not alone.
During the burns from fire
and macabre dance of the flood water,
each moment You were with me
in all miseries and affluence.
You never go away and keep me sheltered,
and mark the victory-mark on the
burnt forehead.
