Distracted had I been by vain delusion, My secret thoughts and feelings You had fathomed. In life, won't that night re-appear? That full moon at dawn,^{[nb 2]} will it smile again in thinking? That lunar crescent, having withdrawn, Will it make mind's peacock dance by strength of mantra? Phagun's night again having come and disappeared, New affection blazes on the palash tree. With buds newly risen sways a branch of silk-cotton; On earth's surface once more has got left wares of love.
