Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

(Tomáy) D́eke' gechi kata jiivane
Shuńeo shońoni ceyeo dekhoni
Niśt́hur hale kemane

Niyata shońái antaraváńii
Shuńiváre páo taháo je jáni
Marame vyakta je hrdayakháni
Táre shońá jáy anurańane

D́áká mor káj tái d́eke' jái
Shuńite ná cáo kona kśobh nái
Shudhu manomájhe sántvaná cái
Badhir chile kon kárańe

O Lord, I have been calling You for so many lives.
But even after hearing, You ignored
and overlooked even on seeing.
How have You become so merciless?
I constantly convey to You the words of my core,
and I know that You could listen to that.
The feelings of the heart expressed in the core,
is heard in the resonance.
My duty is to call, hence I go on calling.
There is no complain,
if You do not want to listen to that.
I only want consolation in the mind,
for what reason You turned deaf ears to me.
