Jug jugánte shata shata
Múŕha mánas ásháhata
Ájke phire cáo

Din ket́e geche pal guńe
Ráter áṋdhár múk vijane
Jiivan geche mithyá jiṋáne
Prajiṋádiip jváláo

তুমি আলোর প্রতিভূ প্রভু
তমসা সরাও
সুদীর্ঘ যামিনী শেষে
ঊষা এনে' দাও

প্রতীক্ষাতে ছিলুম কত
যুগ যুগান্তে শত শত
মূঢ় মানস আশাহত
আজকে ফিরে' চাও

দিন কেটে' গেছে পল গুণে'
রাতের আঁধার মূক বিজনে
জীবন গেছে মিথ্যা জ্ঞানে
প্রজ্ঞাদীপ জ্বালাও

O Lord, the symbol of light, remove the darkness.
At the end of long night, bring morning.
How much I have remained waiting
for hundreds and hundreds of eras.
To the disappointed ignorant minds, today again.
The days pass counting moments,
the nights in darkness silently in isolation.
The life passed in untrue knowledge,
kindle the lamp of intuition.
