Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi eso ámár ghare priya
Dvár khule' diye base' áchi
Diip jvelechi málá geṋthechi
Vedii sájiye rekhechi

Nijer balite mor keha nái
Maner kathá jáháke jánái
Bháve abháve tái tomákei cái
Priitir pasará d́hele' diyechi

He cira madhur antaratama
Jiivane marańe sáthe theko mama
Gorase rasábhása tápe dáhiká sama
Kusuma korake bhare' rekhechi

O Dear, You come to my home,
I am sitting having kept the door open.
I have kindled lamp, threaded the garland,
and kept the altar decorated.
There is no one whom I can call my own,
and to whom I can tell
the feelings of my heart and mind.
Thus, during adversity or affluence,
I love You only and poured out
all the articles of love.
O ever sweet and innermost,
stay with me in my life and death.
I have kept filled the nucleus
of flower with honey,
like the soothing cow-milk
opposed to burning quality of heat.
