Tandrá jakhan bhará chilo cokhe
Tumi chile prabhu káche káche
Áṋkhi mele dekhi sare gele eki
Shudhui núpur dhvani báje

Dúr amarár niiháriká theke
Surajhauṋkár nirnimekhe
Bhese áse shuni apalak cokhe
Shrutir praeti mane náce

Eki tava liilá hiyá niye khelá
Ańucetanár eki avahelá
Paráite cái málaiṋcamálá
Maner mohan madhumáse

তন্দ্রা যখন ভরা ছিলো চোখে
তুমি ছিলে প্রভু কাছে কাছে
আঁখি মেলে' দেখি সরে' গেলে একি
শুধুই নূপুর-ধ্বনি বাজে

দূর অমরার নীহারিকা থেকে
সুরঝঙ্কার নির্নিমেখে
ভেসে' আসে শুনি অপলক চোখে
শ্রুতির প্রৈতি মনে নাচে

একি তব লীলা হিয়া নিয়ে খেলা
অণুচেতনার একি অবহেলা
পরাইতে চাই মালঞ্চমালা
মনের মোহন মধুমাসে

O Lord, when the drowsiness had filled the eyes,
You were close by. Opening the eyes,
I saw whether You moved away,
as only the ankle bell was sounding.
From the distant heavenly nebula,
continuously the tinkling of melody
comes floating that I hear without winking the eyes.
The melody and satisfaction to the ears
dances in the mind.
What an illusive game, liila’ of Yours,
is this with my heart?
What a neglect of unit microcosmic consciousness?
I wanted to place the garland of the garden
in the charming spring of the mind.
