Laying of the Foundation Stone is the 14th chapter of Ananda Marga Caryacarya Part 1 written by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti.[1]
Chapter synopsis
In this chapter Shrii Shrii Anandamurti discussed the procedure of laying of the foundation stone. He told, after collective Iishvara Prańidhána, the seniormost person will recite the following mantra while laying the stone or brick.[1]
Ayamárambhah shubháya bhavatu.
Meaning: May this beginning be auspicious
Then everyone present in the ceremony will recite together: "May today’s laying of the foundation stone be auspicious in all respects. May this stone be a source of bliss to the neighbours, may the neighbours be a source of bliss to this stone. May we soon construct the house on this stone. Oṋḿ shántih, oṋḿ shántih, oṋḿ shántih."[1]
