The Advent of the Lord is a discourse given by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti on 1978 August 25 in Patna, India. This discourse is the twenty third chapter of Ananda Vacanamrtam Part 1.[1]
Synopsis
Some 3500 years ago, Krśńa was born. His ávirbháva (advent) was just at a crucial time – humanity was suffering then. He removed the suffering of humanity by creating Mahábhárata. He gave an assurance to the entire world that there would not be degradation of dharma, that He would come and save it.
On this discourse Anandamurti is explaining a shloka: Yadá yadá hi dharmasya glánirbhavati Bhárata; Cábhyutthánamadharmasya tadátmánaḿ srjámyáham. In it, Krsna addresses Arjuna, saying that when Humanity suffers great deal of injustice, the Lord creates himself out of the fundamental factors to restore righteousness and provide hope for people. The Coming Of Taraka Brahma splits society in two. In such a fight, Dharma is sure to win.[1]
