Brahma Cakra is a discourse given by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti on 1964 December 9 in Salem, India. This discourse is the first chapter of Ananda Vacanamrtam Part 33.[1]
Synopsis
Brahma Cakra – is the name of the "Cosmological system" of the universe. It is the largest "Cakra" of all the Cakras. Anandamurti explains that everywhere in the universe we find a system, an order from the smallest atoms to the largest in the universe. Each system revolves around a "hub" or nucleus. Anandamurti continues to explain that "[All unit entities, all unit structures, revolve around a Nucleus Consciousness in the Cosmic Cycle or creation. This rotation of theirs will continue as long as they think that they are separate from their Creator. When they become one with the Nucleus, they will attain immortality.]"
The different systems of the universe are called "Cakras". The smallest is the atomic system, in Sanskrit "páramáńavik cakra". The universe is composed of
Á á D́ d́ Ḿ ḿ Ń ń Ṋ ṋ Ŕ ŕ Ś ś T́ t́ Ú ú
is composed of many mythological gods and goddesses are laden with necklaces, rings, padma, gadá, cakra, etc. But the people's god (He is the people's god, as no money is required to worship Him) has no ornaments, as ornaments are costly. His devotees, His followers, His disciples are His ornaments. He requires no other ornaments. He is nirguńa because He is beyond the bondage of the guńas (attributes). Anandamurti starts the discourse by saying that all expressions or manifestations come from the Supreme. He is the controller of actions, the supervisor as well as the witnessing entity. Without His reflection, nothing can exist. He is the shelter of all physical and psychic beings. Anandamurti then explains that without the permission of Parama Purusa the operative principle cannot function. The cosmic entity is also termed Kevalam (the only one Supreme Lord) and Gunahiina (beyond attribution and free of bondage). Anandamurti goes on explaining that unlike mythological gods, the people's God wears no adornments. His disciples are His precious jewels, and to worship Him no money is needed.[1]
