He is a king. We will call another man who has got big clubs in his hand, a wrestler. He will be known as a wrestler because of the attribution of those clubs. But, if we take away that attribution of the kingdom from Mr. X and that attribution of clubs from Mr. Y, X will become Y. Similarly, if Para becomes something non-attributional, and jiiva also becomes non-attributional, they will become Parama Shiva, both will become Parama Shiva. What is spiritual practice? To wipe out these attributional bondages is sádhaná. This is spiritual practice.|source=Shrii Shrii Anandamurti}}

Anandamurti starts the discourse by explaining that the difference between a macrocosm and a microcosm is an attributional difference. A jiiva is tied to bondages of past lives and Shiva is free of feathers. He then explains that these differences are not of permanent nature and can change according to one's desires. Anandamurti goes on explaining that if these ascriptions are taken away, a jiiva becomes Shiva and vice versa. Sadhana is the tool for removing these differences.<ref name="AV2"/>
Anandamurti starts the discourse by saying that all entities, regardless of their size or nature are equally loved and cared for by [[Parama Purusa]]. He then explains the shloka "Sama pluśina sama mashakena sama nágena samaebhistribhirlokaeh" - a tiny muskito is as significant for Him as a big mamoth and he regards the three realms as equally significant. Anandamurti goes on comparing the Supreme consciousness to a lamp lightning a stage. In every condition, active or suspended, dormant or lively, He is always with us. Therefore we should never feel alone or become pessimistic.<ref name="AV2"/>

The Role of the Cognitive Faculty is a discourse given by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti on 1978 September 29 in Patna, India. This discourse is the twenty-first chapter of Ananda Vacanamrtam Part 2.[1]

Synopsis

you are closely associated, closely related to Him and He is closely related to you. You are never helpless, never alone. You are always with Him and so you should never entertain pessimism or any inferiority complex.

Shrii Shrii Anandamurti

Anandamurti starts the discourse by saying that all entities, regardless of their size or nature are equally loved and cared for by Parama Purusa. Therefore we should never feel alone or become pessimistic.[1]
