Anandamurti starts the discourse by saying that in this cosmos, everything is moving from thoughts to stars; that movement is within the mind of [[Parama Purusa]]. Our good thoughts and deeds give pleasure to the Supreme one. Anandamurti then says that unlike animals, human beings enjoy subtle objects rather than crude ones; that is because they have more psychic penchants than instincts. Anandamurti goes on saying that the subtlest of all is the Supreme entity and to reach beyond physical and psychic desires and toward that entity is Humanity's highest goal.<ref name="AV34"/>
Anandamurti starts the discourse by saying that Parvatii asked Lord Shiva "what are the secrets of success?"; One of the secrets was to have a balanced mind, a mind free from complexes. Anandamurti then explains that a balanced mind means proper thinking and proper memory, both which are being distorted when one of these four complexes exist in a person: superiority complex, inferiority complex, fear complex and defeatist complex. Anandamurti goes on explaining that a sinner's mentality is connected with a feeling of helplessness, and a spiritual aspirant must remember that he or she are never hopeless, because the Supreme Lord is their father. A spiritualist should become free from all complexes and move straightforwardly towards her goal.<ref name="AV34"/>

Synopsis

So one of His pieces of advice was – what? Caturtho samatábhávo – that is, “You must have a balanced mind.” Now what is a balanced mind? The human mind has got two special wonts, two main goals, two main duties: one is to think and the other is to remember. The two duties of the human mind – one, to think, and the other, to remember – to keep in memory. Two things. Now, what is proper memory and what is proper thinking? If the thinking is proper and if the memory is proper, then I will say that the man is free from all complexes.

Shrii Shrii Anandamurti

A spiritualist should become free from all complexes and move straightforwardly towards her goal.[1]
