Can Women Attain Salvation? is a discourse given by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti on 1978 october in Patna, India. This discourse is the first chapter of Ananda Vacanamrtam Part 3.^[1]

Synopsis

As you know, all are the progeny of the same Supreme Progenitor. He created this universe and He created this material world, as well as His living children. Now, when he created the material world, the inanimate world, the plants and the human beings, common sense says that the entire world belongs to His children irrespective of caste, creed, religion, nationality, standard of education, standard of wisdom, or standard of physical, mental or spiritual strength. It is the vested interests, with their mean and base motives, that create disparity among living creatures, especially among human beings. So those who exploit others and want to enjoy this created world by depriving others of their legitimate and paternal rights, are the enemies of society. They are the enemies of humanity, and they are the enemies of the cultured and civilized world.

Shrii Shrii Anandamurti

Anandamurti starts the discourse by saying that the Supreme being created all entities, inanimate and animate, and therefore the world belongs to all irrespective of race, gender, creed, social status etc. etc. Anandamurti then explains that the Supreme Entity is the nucleus of the universe. Everyone is moving around that nucleus the same way electrons move around an atom. The only difference is in the radius; Even among Human Beings, those who feel His love and closeness, reduce the distance from Him with the potential of merging in Him. Anandamurti goes on explaining that to gain immortality, the grace of [[Parama Purusa}} is a requisite. His grace is showered on all entities and therfore to merge in Him is the birthright of all. Those who try to create disparities among Human Beings are trying to deprive them of their inherited right. They are demons in Human form.^[1]

-In this discourse Anandamurti explains the meaning of [[Guru Vandana|Gu'ru Puja]]. Anandamurti starts the discourse by saying that the Guru is Brahma manifested through a form, so that His secrets can be revealed to all. The link between the unit beings and God is Taraka Brahma. Anandamurti then explains that the Guru with His shalaka (stick) will wake up spiritual knowledge in those who are blinded by ignorance.  will  that since time immemorial, religious scriptures perpetrated distinctions among females and males with a deliberate agenda of exploiting women. Anandamurti goes on explaining that all entities are descendants of [[Parama Purusa]]. Animals too, although they possess no human structure, can attain salvation if only He desires.<ref name="AV3"/>
