Every Word Is Meaningful is a discourse given by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti. This discourse is the third chapter of Ananda Vacanamrtam Part 34.[1]

Synopsis

The name of this country is Bháratavarśa. In this great and ancient country of ours, it is a tradition to use meaningful words. Everywhere you will find words with certain meanings. Each and every word has got its peculiar significance.

Shrii Shrii Anandamurti

Anandamurti starts the discourse by saying that Bhárata means he who feeds, and Bháratavarśa means the country that helps you in your trifold development (physical, mental, and spiritual). Anandamurti then says that in this fruitful land each word has its significance. He then discusses a few names for the Supreme (Náráyańa, Mádhava, Iishvara, and Bharga). Anandamurti goes on explaining the word Oṋḿ in the Gáyattrii Mantra (Oṋḿ bhúr bhuvah svah oṋḿ) and concludes by asserting the significance of each word in a land that assists in our all-round expansion.[1]
