Soliloquy of the Supreme is a discourse given by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti on 1978 September 12 in Patna, India. This discourse is the fourth chapter of Ananda Vacanamrtam Part 2.[1]
Synopsis
What is the soliloquy of the Supreme? His soliloquy is:
Mayyeva sakalaḿ játaḿ mayi sarvaḿ pratiśt́hitam, Mayi sarvam layaḿ yáti tadbrahmádvyamasmyaham.
Everything cometh from Me, remaineth in Me and goeth back in Me.
Anandamurti starts the discourse by explaining the shloka: Mayyeva sakalaḿ játaḿ mayi sarvaḿ pratiśt́hitam, Mayi sarvam layaḿ yáti tadbrahmádvyamasmyaham. He then explains that devotees think the universe was created because God was alone and He had nobody to love and no one to punish. Anandamurti concludes with the logically supported assertion that despite His great power, Parama Purusa can never do two things: create another Parama Purusa or hate anyone.[1]
