Guru Prańáma is a discourse given by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti on 1978 October 10 in Patna, India. This discourse is the ninth chapter of Ananda Vacanamrtam Part 3.[1]
Synopsis
As I have said so many times, human sadhana is a movement from electronic imperfection to nuclear perfection. The nuclear perfection is That, and this electronic imperfection is you. You are That. The stage of "are" is your spiritual practice. Your are That, you – That – are. This "are" is the gap to be bridged by sádhaná. So you are That. The Guru's words, the Guru's secret instruction, or gospel, or text, or sermon, is, "O my little boy, O my little girl, thou art That."
In this discourse, Anandamurti explains the meaning of Sadguruḿ Taḿ Namámi.
Ekaḿ nityaḿ vimalam acalaḿ sarvadhiisákśiibhútam: To establish oneself in the Supreme Entity, pure, stainless and strong in spiritual values, which undergoes no transformation, spiritual aspirant will have to bring their minds to a singular point. That one point is the Supreme stance. Bhávátiitaḿ triguńarahitaḿ Sadguruḿ Taḿ namámi: Parama Purusa is beyond the periphery of all expressions, action and reaction and all binding forces. Sadguru is the embodiment of the Supreme Consciousness, through which we received Tántrikii diikśá (tantric initiation). Befor Him we bow and to Him we pay our salutations.[1]
