Don't Be Afraid is a discourse given by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti in Kolkata, India. The discourse was delivered on the evening of 1978 November 11. This discourse is the twenty first chapter of Ananda Vacanamrtam Part 4.[1]

Synopsis

A person who has realized Brahma (and remember, He cannot be attained through words or with the mind) as the embodiment of bliss fears nothing in this universe. One of the major enemies of human beings is fear. Due to fear much human capacity is wasted and the development of the human personality is retarded. And yet it is not difficult to overcome fear; one has to simply take refuge in Parama Puruśa. I will not say that this is the best way, it is the only way.

Shrii Shrii Anandamurti

Anandamurti starts the discourse by saying that life is characterized by a state of constant mobility. Everything from our internal cells to the solar system is ever moving. Anandamurti then explains that when due to a decrease in movement of society stagnation occurs, its not enough to go back to society's regular speed. On such occasion, movement must be accelerated in order to deal with large piles of garbage which occurred due to deceleration. Anandamurti goes on saying that human beings have to cast aside lethargy and become active in promoting the welfare of all. Human beings have to think internally that they are not inferior to anyone. They possess enough capabilities to do good work, not be for their own welfare but for the welfare of everyone.[1]
